Week End Review (In Picture)

We had a busy weekend, quite a follow up to our busy week! David preached every night last week at on of the local churches in our area. They host a nightly Passion Week service called "Eight Days of Glory." David was their guest speaker this year. Each night he highlighted an individual or group of people that were played a part in the last week of the life of Jesus Christ. I'm biased, but I think he did a fabulous job!

We went on a date afterward!

My handsome husband!

East Texas is covered in yellow dust! The pollen from pine trees and ragweed has given everything a yellow hue. (Even my laptop!) There is no escaping the yellow powder, and there is absolutely no point in dusting or washing my car these days, as the yellow dust will just reappear seemingly instantly! Thankfully neither one of us has had any

Here's one of the culprits! I don't know what it is, a flower
perhaps? The pine trees are covered in these things!

We spent Easter Sunday with my parents at their little cabin in the woods. Mom made a fabulous meal of ham with orange glaze, the most yummy dinner rolls, decadent mashed potatoes, green beans, pineapple cake, and tea cakes. (And what southern meal would be complete without iced tea?) It really was a fabulous meal!

We were joined by some of my fellow students Kwabena from Ghana, and Milan from the Czech Republic. It was quite fitting that there would be a representation of multiple nationalities seated at our Easter dinner table. What a small glimmer of what heaven will be like! (I didn't get any pictures...hopefully my mom will post some pics on her blog!)

The Seminary is getting ready to publish their new catalog. This is David's official portrait (will show up in black and white) that I took yesterday in our home. It's the most professional shot I could get! Nothing too fancy you know!

Have a great week!
