First things first: did you notice the blog redesign? What do you think? (My Mom, will probably comment about how bizarre it is that I have a bird theme, when in fact, I am scared to death of birds.) I figured that with one week before school starts I had to get my blog redesign out of the way. It was easy-peasy and only took about 30 minutes.

Today David and I are starting a diet weight watchers. We've both gained a few extra pounds way too much weight. It was getting to the point that we were either going to have to lose weight, or we were going to have to take a trip to Kohls for a new wardrobe. (I know, I know, the trip to Kohls sounds like way more fun to me too.)
I'm not one of those naturally thin people. Far from it. But I am blessed that when I eat healthy and exercise, the weight usually comes off fairly easily. I did weight watchers six years ago and saw great success. Since I still have all of my material, points calculators, and a WW scale (thanks Mom!), we're going to try to do it without going to the meetings.
I am prepared to read all the comments about how people lose more weight and keep it off if they go to meetings.
Thank you in advance.
Thank you in advance.
Since we're not going to meetings (yet), I thought I would use the blog as a means of accountability. What do you think? I do not want DAES of Our Lives to become all about my weight/dieting. But I do want to have a public place that will allow me to keep myself accountable, if nothing else. I think I will do a weekly weight watchers report that will include a recap of my food journal, and weight lost.
What do you think? Can y'all handle just one post a week being about my eating habits/attempt at a healthier lifestyle? Anyone want to join me?
